Associate Pastor
(With Focus On Evangelism)
Hoylake Evangelical Church (HEC) is seeking to appoint a full-time Associate Pastor. The successful candidate will contribute to the preaching and pastoral ministry of HEC and be responsible for pioneering new evangelistic ministries to reach Hoylake with the gospel. Since HEC believes the office of elder is restricted to qualified men, we will only be accepting applications from males at this time.
Church Profile
HEC exists to glorify God by making disciples of Christ. We believe that the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is at the heart of the Bible’s message and affirm the inerrancy of Scripture. We are made up of 63 members, overseen by 2 elders, served by 3 deacons and are joined by 80-100 worshippers of all ages on Sunday mornings. Our worship style is quite traditional although we sing both hymns and more recent songs.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will:
– Meet the qualifications to serve as an elder as found in 1 Tim 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
– Be a man of prayer
– Be called and gifted to serve in preaching, teaching and evangelism
– Recognise the vital role of the church in discipling new believers
Salary: Starting at £30,000
